Sadiq Dorosat, Co-Founder, Muslim Census
Muslim Census is an independent organisation dedicated to using data to identify and highlight individual issues faced by the UK Muslim community.
Sadiq holds a BSc in Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London and has two years of experience working within Wealth and Digital at a global bank. Specialising in data and research, Sadiq identified the lack of data within the Muslim community and created the vision for Muslim Census. Currently, Sadiq is responsible for conducting research, writing reports and community outreach alongside leading the strategy and vision of the organisation.
Iqbal Nasim MBE, CEO, National Zakat Foundation
Iqbal Nasim is Chief Executive of National Zakat Foundation, the UK’s only local Zakat platform. Since its inception in 2011, UK Zakat payers have given over £15m of Zakat through NZF, enabling both short-term relief and self-sufficiency for thousands of the country’s most needy Muslims as well as investing in emerging community champions.
For his work at NZF, Iqbal was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019 with an MBE for services to Tackling Poverty and Community Development.
Prior to heading up NZF in 2011, Iqbal worked for over five years in the investment banking industry as an equity analyst. He holds an MA in Economics and Management from Cambridge University and an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School.
